J'adore Paris!

I went to Paris this week-end and I'm in love. Kristen and I arrived, dropped our luggage out, and headed off to the Eiffel Tour. It was gorgreous, the view was amazing.

After the Eiffel tower, we went back to the hotel and changed. We met up with the tour group that arranged our trip and went to a Caberat show. The show poked fun of itself. There were magicians, dancers, topless dancers, and comedians. It was so fun, and the venue was really cute. Also it was across the street from Moulin Rouge. How Fabulous!

The next morning we woke up early and took the Metro to the Louvre. Before we left the hotel, we decided that our goal was to see as much as we could. This decided, we chose not to go into any of the museums becuase we didn't want to wait in line.

Anyway, the Louvre used to be the French Palace, so the outside was gorgouous. After we walked around, we went to the Latin Quarter. This is where the University's of Paris are located and it has a very Parisian, less tourist feel. We found the Luxembourg gardens, which were a paradise in themselves. After an hour or so of laying in the sun, we headed to Notre Dame. The famous church is located on an island in the middle of Paris.

Next we went to the Center of Pomporo. This is a modern building that houses everythign from movie theatres to a museum to art exhibits. We went in there and looked around for about an hour. Most of the exhibits looked like a seriel killer had made them. It was interesting, and there were some cool pieces.

Kristen and I hurried and ate dinner, then caught the last boat ride on the Seine. The Eiffel tower looked amazing. The new light show was slightly gaudy but it was still beautiful, it glittered like a christmas tree.

The next morning we woke up, hurried to the Champes-Elysee and the Arc de Triumph. We looked down the street that the Allied troops rolled their tanks up, then darted off to Versailles. The palace was beautiful. Every ceiling was painted in the theme of a Grecian god. There was Gold everywhere. One hall was entirely made up of mirrors, marble statues, and crystal and silver chandeliers.

Even better then the Chalet was gardens. They were huge and amazing. We arrived in time to see all the fountains go off.

We barely made it back in time to meet the group. The train took us straight from Paris to London. We made it home by 11:30 at night.

I loved Paris, everyone was nice. Everything was beautiful. Everyperson was gorgeous. Also, it was sunny unlike London.

I'll post pictures later. After I finish Harry Potter ;)
